Volunteer Fire Department
Pouce Coupe Fire and Rescue wishes to inform the public that we have taken precautions to help protect our selves from the COVID-19 and have closed our doors to the public. We have put on hold any tours, inspections and public activities we had planned until further notice.
The Village of Pouce Coupe Volunteer Fire Department has 22 volunteer community firefighters operating from the fire hall located in the Village core and is the hub of many community events. In addition to fire suppression services, the department provides a range of other services including Fire Prevention/Education, Fire Investigation, Hazards Mitigation, Vehicle Extrication, and Emergency Medical Support for residents of Pouce Coupe and surrounding area.

All fire calls are dispatched through the Dawson Creek Fire Dispatch Centre in Dawson Creek. All volunteers are required to carry pagers, supplied to them by the Fire Department, for notification purposes. When an emergency arises, volunteers are to respond directly to the fire station for response.
In addition to emergency services, the Fire Department contributes elsewhere in the community; volunteering at multiple community events including Canada Day, providing door-to-door smoke alarm inspections, organizing an annual Christmas food drive, and participating in parades.
